Product Introduction

The U‑shaped canal forming machine is a self‑propelled cast‑in‑place slipform device. It completes one‑step concrete pouring for U‑shaped canals on‑site, removing the work of transporting and assembling pre‑cast components.

It is widely applied in farmland irrigation canals, river branch renovation, rural drainage ditches and slope‑protection channel construction. Canal top width, depth and wall thickness can be customized according to client requirements. Concrete is densely compacted with automatic surface finishing, which greatly cuts labor costs and improves working efficiency for water‑conservancy projects.

Concrete is fed into the hopper, and the canal takes shape as the machine moves forward. The canal wall is vibrated and finished automatically. The finished U‑shaped canal features good structural integrity and excellent anti‑seepage performance.

Compared with traditional formwork construction, it greatly reduces workers for formwork erecting, stripping and plastering. Only 3‑4 workers are required for the whole construction process.

Working Principle

Use the matching digging bucket to excavate the U‑shaped earth trench. Place the machine inside the pre‑dug trench, then load concrete into the material hopper. The hydraulic system drives the machine to advance at a steady speed. The built‑in vibrator compacts concrete, the mould extrudes to form the U‑shaped inner wall, and the rear unit automatically finishes the surface. As the machine moves ahead, complete solid U‑shaped concrete canal comes out behind the equipment.
